He sat on the porch swing, the gentle rocking a soothing rhythm. The afternoon sun cast long shadows across the front yard, and the air was filled with the sounds of summer: bees buzzing, birds chirping. He took a long sip of lemonade, relishing the tartness.

A hesitant voice called from the edge of the property. It was David, from the house next door, shuffling towards him. "Hey, Mark," he said, scratching the back of his neck. "I was hoping, maybe, I could use a section of your yard to grow some sunflowers?"

Mark shifted slightly, enjoying the comfortable weight of the swing. He took another slow breath. "Absolutely, David. The more the merrier," he replied, his voice calm. "Help yourself to whatever space you need." He smiled and leaned back, the swing creaking gently.
